Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana Kicks Off

Partners in Workforce Homeownership Initiative

On Friday, February 27, Habitat for Humanity of NW Indiana kicked off its four-year, $3,295,000 Partners in Workforce Homeownership initiative.

We are excited to announce that to date over $1.1 has been committed to the Partners initiative!

At the media event held at Innsbrook Country Club, leaders from the Catholic Diocese of Gary, City of Hobart, Franciscan Alliance, Suncrest Christian Church, Leeps Supply Co. Inc., Centsible Heating and Air Conditioning, Centier Bank, Strack and Van Til, Legacy Foundation and others unveiled the details of the four-year plan.

Under the Partners initiative, Habitat for Humanity of NW Indiana will build 17 new and renovate 17 existing homes into Habitat homes in communities throughout Lake County.  In addition to positively impacting hardworking Lake County families, the Partners initiative will produce over $38,000,000 in economic impact for our local communities.

If your organization:

  • has employees that earn $19,000 – $51,000 per year,
